Elwood is in Box Elder County, Utah, with a population of about 1000 residents. Elwood was officially incorporated as a town in 1933, and a town hall was built in 1983 to host governmental functions, after 50 years of meeting in the old Elwood church. Beginning with the start of business on Thursday, March 19, 2020, all Elwood town buildings will be open to the public by appointment only.

Elwood Town buildings will offer services to the public by appointment only. We are happy to assist you with the services you need. Most town business can be conducted over the phone, on the website or via email. Please note that some employees are working remotely. PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing has been scheduled on Aug 4, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. to receive public input regarding the proposed annexation of real property owned Larry Adam Mann Tax Id Numbers 05-035-0006 & 05-207-0010 within the areas defined in the Elwood Annexation Plan for future expansion by Elwood Town. The property is located at approximately 8600 N. 4800 W. Elwood UT 84337 The complete legal description and plat relating to the annexation is available for review at the Town Clerks office. And the Morrison Subdivision preliminary plan. It is a 3-Lot Subdivision located at approximately 6453 N. 8000 W. in Elwood Town and the Elwood Acres phase 2-lot Subdivision preliminary plan. It’s a 16 lot Subdivision located at approximately 4800 West 9400 North. The public hearing will be held at the Elwood Town Hall at 5235 w. 8800 n. Elwood UT 84337. All interested parties are invited to attend.

Drinking Water Protections Against COVID-19

State officials say there is no reason to stock up on surplus bottled water due to Coronavirus

SALT LAKE CITY-The Utah Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) wants residents to know that their public water supply is safe. In the case of quarantine or outbreak related to the coronavirus, public drinking water system are designed to continuously deliver safe drinking water to your tap.

“Drinking water treatment and disinfection has effectively protected Utah’s population for many decades. These protections will safeguard residents against drinking-water-borne viral infections-including coronavirus.” Says Marie Owens, Director of DEQ’s Division of Drinking Water. “There is no need for residents to stock up on surplus bottled water in preparation for a potential outbreak of coronavirus.”

We are looking for people with skills involving Ham Radio, Medicine, Heavy Equipment, Home Storage, or interest in planning & organizing.
